Grand ORIVETI Supremacy Review

Synergy

Efficiency

The ORIVETI Grand ORIVETI Supremacy is efficient enough to work well with everyday devices but rewards users who pair it with higher-quality audio sources.

They strike a great balance, making them both portable-friendly and capable of audiophile-grade performance.

They’re fairly efficient and can reach high volume levels with minimal power input. This ensures compatibility with low-powered sources, though a good DAC/amp can further refine their overall sound quality.

Pairings

I would pair the  Grand ORIVETI Supremacy with something from the iFi line like the xDSD Gryphon, or the Chord Electronics Mojo 2 to retain more dynamics and detail while maintaining portability. These devices offer a clean, powerful signal and can hold their own with these IEMs.

At home, I would still recommend something like the ZEN DAC 3 or the ZEN CAN 3 with the ZEN ONE standalone DAC. You can upscale by using something like an SMSL SU-X/SH-X stack or something from Topping like the L70/E70 combo for a brighter presentation.

You can go bright or warm and the Grand ORIVETI Supremacy will reveal each piece of gear’s characteristics and as long as you pair them with clean, high-quality sources, the Supremacy should pair wonderfully.

HIFIMAN Svanar Review

Select Comparisons

HIFIMAN Svanar

Technical

The HIFIMAN Svanar is an IEM that radiates modern-day advancements and is an excellent example of an IEM that has been developed with lots of passion and manufacturing savvy, I say that particularly on behalf of  HIFIMAN’s Topology technology.

This innovative technique involves taking the driver and applying layers of coating that work on the driver’s resonance and cone stiffness. It controls driver flexing and helps control distortion at certain key frequencies.

The Svanar has a reference-style tuning with a focus on clarity, neutrality, and detail. The bass is tight and linear, the mids are transparent and highly detailed, and the treble is extended with plenty of sparkle and air.

The Grand ORIVETI Supremacy is warmer and more musical, with a balanced sound signature. The bass is richer and more impactful, offering a more engaging low end without sacrificing control.

Design

The HIFIMAN Svanar uses premium materials. A combination of brass and aluminum is used to fabricate the Svanar’s shells, which gives it a solid and luxurious feel. However, its fitting can be tricky due to its unique shape, and it may not be as universally comfortable.

The Grand ORIVETI Supremacy’s design is ergonomic, lightweight, and built with comfort in mind. It’s more versatile in terms of fit and better suited for extended use.

HIFIMAN Svanar Review

Performance

The Svanar benefits the most from high-end sources. The Grand ORIVETI Supremacy is more efficient and easier to drive, working well with portable devices and basic DACs while still scaling nicely with better equipment.

At the gate, the HIFIMAN Svanar excels and pushes forward with a luscious midrange that carries the emotion and feeling of vocal tracks better than most. The vocal presentation is transparent, neutral, and down-to-earth.

Their bass response, however, can be a bit analytical and systematic in reproducing bass notes and there is a lot of deep-reaching capability. But the bass response of the Grand ORIVETI Supremacy is fuller and more textured, with a satisfying punch and warmth.

The HIFIMAN Svanar’s treble is highly extended, bright, and full of sparkle, giving a sense of air and detail. However, it can verge on being sapping for those sensitive to high frequencies.

The Grand ORIVETI Supremacy’s treble is smoother and less aggressive, providing enough sparkle and detail without harshness.

If you’re detail-oriented and seek an analytical sonic presentation with pristine clarity, go for the HIFIMAN Svanar. But if you prefer a warmer, more musical, and engaging sound signature that’s easy on the ears, the Grand ORIVETI Supremacy is the better choice.

Both are excellent IEMs, but your choice will come down to personal preference and the kind of listening experience you’re after.

Noble Audio Spartacus 2 shells

Noble Audio Spartacus

Technical

The Spartacus stands out with Noble Audio’s signature craftsmanship, featuring artistic and luxurious designs that are almost like wearable art.

The Spartacus driver array hits 35Ω on a load meter but I didn’t find them harder to drive compared to the Grand ORIVETI Supremacy. The Supremacy also reached a higher volume level with less distortion. The Spartacus also benefits from a more powerful source to unlock its full potential.

Design

Noble Audio took another route from the other two previous IEMs in this comparison because Spartacus is hand-assembled and with an all-resin composition body. The model I tested had the original organic faceplate which is no longer available.

You can get the amber composite faceplate with the wire mesh grille but at first sight, they resemble snakeskin backs. Either version is an attractive model but the new model doesn’t show off the innards as the one tested and I tend to geek out on stuff like that.

Performance

The ORIVETI Grand ORIVETI Supremacy and Noble Audio Spartacus are both high-end IEMs, but they approach sound and design differently, catering to distinct listening preferences.

The Spartacus, being a hybrid design puts its emphasis on technical performance, it offers a more dynamic signature with bass that is powerful and impactful, the mids are slightly recessed but detailed, and the treble is energetic and sparkling.

The Spartacus is tailored for listeners who enjoy a fun, lively presentation with a strong sense of energy. The Spartacus bass response is ample and the mids are realistically portrayed.

The bone-conducting aspect helps out since they use BA drivers for the bass which tend to project speed, but not much visceral energy.

The Spartacus is geared toward listeners who enjoy a more dynamic and fun sound signature with a focus on bass and treble energy. The Spartacus is ideal for those who are looking for a lively, impactful presentation and don’t mind a touch of treble brightness.

Comparatively, The Grand ORIVETI  Supremacy has a balanced, slightly warm sound signature. It focuses on musicality and engagement, with rich bass, lush mids, and smooth treble. Its tonality is natural and forgiving, making it versatile across genres and enjoyable for long listening sessions.

Choose the Supremacy if you prioritize warmth, balance, and smoothness, with a sound that’s engaging and versatile across genres. The Spartacus is best if you love a bold, fun sound with deep bass, sparkling treble, and an energetic, vibrant presentation.

FiiO FA19 shells

FiiO FA19

Technical

The FiiO FA19 sports a ten-driver all-BA array. This array is tuned for technicality and brightness and the only cutting of corners I see with this set is that it uses some off-the-shelf BA drivers, mostly from Knowles.

The FA19 is built with comfort in mind, featuring an ergonomic design that ensures a secure fit in the ear. The shells are crafted to be lightweight and comfortable, making them ideal for extended listening sessions without causing discomfort.

One aspect of the FA19’s design I could leave is that they have a side-mounted switch that alters the sonic qualities of this set. I rarely use this switch because it kills off some of the high frequencies, preferring the FA19’s stock, natural tuning.

Design

The FA19 features a more industrial design with FiiO’s signature build quality. Its shells are sturdy but slightly larger, which might make them less comfortable for those with smaller ears.

The Supremacy’s design is ergonomic and lightweight, prioritizing comfort and it’s more universally comfortable.

Somehow, the FiiO, which is the least expensive of this comparison, happens to be the best-accessorized set. It includes two types of swappable connectivity tips, a plethora of tips, and a carrying case. The large leather bag I can live without.

Performance

The FA19 is tuned to be detailed and highly resolving, with a bright-neutral signature. It delivers exceptional clarity, and a slight emphasis on treble and upper mids, making it ideal for audiophiles who enjoy analytical listening. It leans toward a precise, and technical presentation.

But the Grand ORIVETI Supremacy takes a more balanced, slightly warmer approach. It offers a musical and natural sound signature, with a smoother treble and lusher mids, making it more versatile and engaging for a wide range of genres plus less fatiguing.

The FiiO FA10 is better for those who want a clear, neutral sound with excellent detail, suitable for mixing, critical listening, and longer sessions without fatigue.

The Grand ORIVETI Supremacy is ideal for those who enjoy a richer, more dynamic sound with a slight warmth, making it more fun for casual listening and genres that benefit from an energetic bass response.

Are you more into neutral sound or a fun, musical experience? Those are your choices here.

My Verdict

With the release of the Grand ORIVETI Supremacy, the company has demonstrated that they’re more than just a budget IEM maker and are capable of great things. From now on, I will certainly consider them to be a serious contender in the high-end IEM tier.

Not only is the Grand ORIVETI Supremacy a premium, luxurious-sounding IEM, but it also provides one of the best IEM unboxing experiences I’ve had up to date. This set is well-accessorized except for the limited connectivity.

Ultimately, what stands out to me is that the Grand ORIVETI Supremacy delivers enjoyment, not just purely technical performances. It’s the kind of IEM I could put on and just get lost in the music.

For anyone who values a well-rounded listening experience without feeling like they’re constantly analyzing the sound, the Grand ORIVETI Supremacy offers just the right amount of everything, sonically speaking.
