Well I am actually kind of impressed yet again by NOCS and in particular the NS800. I was half expecting a slightly limiting non-scaling and possibly ‘brighter than the sun’ listening, something tolerable but never enjoyable but in reality the NS800 is a much more involving and pleasurable experience and possibly the best single BA at this price point that I have heard to date.
I do suggest you consider a good DAP rather than a mobile phone for driving it as it just wasn’t as efficient as I expected but I think a good DAP is a more deserving source. Pricing on Amazon remains at SRP $199.00 which is reasonable but $150 would seal it for me to be honest since the wonderful RHA MA750i is shipping out $129.95 and brings high quality dynamics to the masses for considerably less and packing considerably more into the box.
