Beyer DTX300p – Beyer goes ultramobile

When I think of Beyerdynamic I am always clouded in dreamy thoughts of the T5p or T1 or the DT1350 but not too many people pay attention to their entry level kit which up until now really has been more of the IEM range where competition is stiff and saturated.

But of late Beyer have been innovating hard with their top tier mobile DT1350 fast on the heels of the T50p and with the big noise about Tesla they have been getting very positive reviews as a result. So with that in mind it seems they are looking hard at the consumer mobile sector and getting their cue from fold-able goodies from Sennheiser and the likes with this new DTX 300P

The new DTX 300 p is a supra-aural headphone in the classic mold of the Sennheiser PX100 – II with an essentially closed design though being supre-aural I am not sure how well they might isolate but hopefully on par with the t50p since the same shaped cups look to be in force from the pics.

Sporting a stable steel folding headband it certainly is benefiting from the higher end R&D work done and comes with a nice little soft case for that mobile touch.

From mid March 2011, the DTX 300p is also available in two color variations, white and black with red anodized aluminium ring and is priced in Euroland at 49 euros which is competitive. Hopefully we can bag one in the near future for a review.
